Frequently Asked Question's relating to the event.


Q. Will there be a set of camp rules?

A. There is a Code of Conduct relating to all conduct at the camp site.
These are similar to most Caravan Park Rules.

 

Q. Are pets allowed at the camp site?

A. Pets will be allowed however, due to a large fireworks display on Saturday night

it maybe advisable not to bring pets.

Pets must be kept under control at all times and dogs to remain on leads.

Pets are prohibited from the bonfire area, buildings and areas where food is consumed.

It’s the responsibility of the pet owner to clean up after their pets.

Q. Are small camp fires allowed at the camp site?

A. No campfires will be allowed to be lit at the camp site.

 

Q. Is there any linen supplied in the Bunk houses?

A. No. All visitors must bring their own linen.

 

Q. Do I have to Register under my Geocaching name?

A. Yes, all registrations are to be in your geocaching name. (as registered at geocaching.com)

If you are attending as a special team of local geocachers, then each cacher must

register and will receive all their information for the Mega competition in the welcome

pack and a Mega event Geocoin.

 

Q. Do you have mobile phone coverage at the camp site?

A. Yes, Telstra & Optus have excellent 3G phone & data reception at the site.

 

Q. Will there be any medical/first aid facilities at the site?

A. Yes, we will have a First Aid Room & St Johns Ambulance officers in attendance

at all times.

 

Q. Do we have to order our meals before we go to the camp site?

A. Preferably. The Dinner meals will need to be pre-ordered so the caterers can ensure

they have the correct amount, and you don't miss out. Breakfasts & lunches can be

pre-ordered and should also be available to order at the site.

 

Q. Is Ice available at the site?

A. Yes, we will have 3.5kg & 10kg bags at very reasonable prices.

 

Q. Is there power available at the camping sites?

A. No, all sites are un-powered.

 

Q. Do the camping sites have water?

A. Yes, there are some taps scattered throughout the camp site for all to share.

 

 

Q. Is there anywhere I can charge my phone or GPS at the site?

A. There is very limited power outlets, so you should take your car chargers to the event.

 

Q. What public transport is there to the site?

A. The only public transport available will be Taxis.

A. We intend to have a wi-fi available, further details available closer to the event.
